Acetylene produced by the reaction of calcium carbide with water, as a fumigant to co ntrol stored grain pests, is a new technology researched in recent years. The determination of acetylene residues after grain fumigation by acetylene is an urgent problem to be solved.
According to the principle that acetylene reacts with low copper salt in ammo nia solution to form red acetylene and low copper, the colorimetric method is used to determine the residual amount of acetylene in grain, which is time-co nsuming and laborious and inefficient.
Tengzhou Haohao Chromatography Instrument Technology Service Co., Ltd. developed a gas chromatography method to determine the residual amount of acetylene in grain. The external standard method was used to quantify the results.
