本标准适用于由动物、植物油脂经水解后用压榨法或蒸馏法精制生产的工业用硬脂酸（主要成分为十八烷酸和十六烷酸）的测定。

This standard replaces GB/T 9104.1~9104.9-1988

This standard specifies the test methods for industrial stearic acid, including iodine value, saponification value, acid value, color, freezing point, moisture, inorganic acid, ash, and composition.

This standard is applicable to the determination of industrial stearic acid (the main components are octadecanoic acid and palmitic acid) produced by the hydrolysis of animal and vegetable oils by pressing or distillation.
