在炼焦生产焦炭的过程中,由装煤炉在焦炉炭化室中干馏时产生的黄褐色汽气混合物,称为焦炉煤气。经过净化后,发热量可高达约17500kJ/m3左右,每吨煤约产焦炉煤气300~400m3,质量约占装炉煤的16%~20%。由于焦炉煤气其热值高的特性,它是钢铁联合企业中重要的气体燃料,不可缺少的重要能源。净化后的煤气再经深度加工净化,还可作为城市煤气。焦炉煤气中主要成分是氢和甲烷,经过分离技术可分离出供化学合成用的氢气和代替天然气的甲烷。焦炉煤气组成很复杂,有毒有害成份繁多,如含氮化合物、含硫化合物、碳氢化合物等,主体部分的燃烧发光组分、燃烧发热组分及惰性气体等。

In the process of coking to produce coke, the yellow-brown gas mixture produced by the coal charging furnace in the coke oven carbo nization chamber is called coke oven gas. After purification, the calorific value can be as high as a bout 17500kJ/m3, and each ton of coal produces a bout 300-400m3 of coke oven gas, and the quality accounts for a bout 16%-20% of the coal charged. Due to its high calorific value, coke oven gas is an im portant gas fuel and an indispensable energy source in iron and steel complexes. The purified gas can be further processed and purified, and can also be used as city gas. The main compo nents of coke oven gas are hydrogen and methane. After separation technology, hydrogen for chemical synthesis and methane for natural gas can be separated. The composition of coke oven gas is very complex, with many toxic and harmful components, such as nitrogen-co ntaining compounds, sulfur-co ntaining compounds, hydrocarbons, etc., the main part of the combustion luminescent components, combustion heating compo nents and inert gases.
