For the determination of methanol co ncentration in workshop air, two methods are introduced in "Workshop Air Mo nitoring and Inspection Method" (hereinafter referred to as standard method), one is colorimetric acid colorimetry, and the other is gas chromatography.
Through experiments and applications, Haohan Chromatography (Shandong) Application Technology Development Co., Ltd. believes that the colorimetric method is not ideal, not o nly in poor accuracy, but also in poor precision, and the parallel error is as high as ±20-30%, or higher; the reagents used are easy to me tamorphic failure. Gas chromatography in the standard method uses direct gas injection. Due to the adsorption of methanol on the ground glass of the syringe and the limited sensitivity of the instrument, we believe that direct gas injection is not practical.
