Oxygen and argon have similar physical properties and are difficult to separate on a chromatographic column. The obtained chromatographic peak is usually a mixed component and cannot be quantified. Therefore, the separation of oxygen and argon becomes a major problem in chromatographic separation. In the national standard GB/T 14605-93 "Determination of Trace Argon, Nitrogen and Krypton in Oxygen by Gas Chromatography", a deoxidizing column (401 deoxidizer) is used to first remove oxygen, and then the detected components argon, nitrogen and krypton are used. After being separated by a chromatographic column, it enters the detector to achieve the purpose of determining and analyzing components such as argon and nitrogen.
